The island of Elba is an Italian island, the largest among the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and is about 12 km from the Tuscan coast. The ferry trip to reach it takes about an hour, leaving from the port of Piombino Marittima. For those arriving at the port of Piombino, from the north follow the A 12 Genoa-Livorno motorway, exit at Rosignano, take the Aurelia state road to Venturina/Isola d’Elba and continue to Piombino marittima.
For those arriving at the port from the north-east, follow the A1 Bologna-Florence-Livorno motorway, exit at Rosignano, take the Aurelia state road to Venturina/Isola d’Elba and continue to Piombino marittima.
Arriving from the south, take the A12 Roma-Grosseto motorway, exit at Venturina/Isola d’Elba and continue to Piombino marittima.
To take the ferry, the reference station is Piombino Marittima: to get there, you have to take the local train from Campiglia Marittima.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Campiglia Marittima station and from there take the bus that will take you directly to the Port of Piombino.

The Island of Elba can be reached by a convenient bus service connecting Piombino Marittima to Milan (Autostradale and Arzillibus), Florence and Siena (Tiemme).
The Island of Elba is connected with direct flights of the new Rhein-Neckar Air company from 17 May 2024 to 4 October 2024. The airports Friedrichshafen, located on Lake Constance, and Mannheim offer air connections to the Island of Elba, landing at La Pila Airport in Marina di Campo. The flight time from Germany to Elba is just over an hour.

When you reach the port of Portoferraio, on leaving the town, follow the signs for Porto Azzurro and continue on the main road for about 7 km, then turn left towards Schiopparello/Magazzini- Bagnaia and continue for 5 km towards Bagnaia. Before descending into the village square, take the small road on your right, opposite the Punta Pina structure, at the small crossroads where there is a stop sign, turn into Via della Valle on your right and follow the signs for Hotel La Feluca.
On the island of Elba, the transport service is run by Autolinee toscane. Throughout the year, the buses guarantee constant connections with the main towns on the island, and from June to September, they are supplemented by Marebus and shuttle bus services. The line connecting Portoferraio to Bagnaia is the 118.
