If you want to discover the most hidden corners of the Island of Elba and listen to the stories of the men and peoples who forged this land, rely on expert guides who will take you to the most unexpected places: sands hundreds of metres above sea level, Roman columns lying just a few metres from a beach, Etruscan tombs and fortresses just a stone’s throw from the main paths, and more fortresses, imperial residences, and villages of miners, fishermen or quarrymen
Elba is rich in history and hiking in its hinterland will provide you with a unique experience, where walking through the scents of the Mediterranean maquis you will discover, step by step, routes rich in history where signs, remains and ruins speak of its past.
For those wishing to visit the summit of the Tuscan Archipelago, we recommend a visit to Monte Capanne (1019 m), where you can walk along a path that climbs among the chestnut trees, or take a cable car to the tip of Elba, from where you can enjoy a fantastic panorama that overlooks the entire coast of Elba and its archipelago, as far as the coasts of Corsica and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
But Elba is also hiking by sea. In fact, during the summer period there are numerous boat excursions by sea, departing from the main ports, offering organised day trips that will take you by sea to the most hidden corners of Elba, to discover the wildest and most unspoilt Elba along suggestive coves and deserted beaches.
