sind, aber auch anspruchsvolle Strecken f\u00fcr erfahrene Wanderer. Einer der wichtigsten Wanderwege ist die GTE (Gran Traversata Elbana), der auf einem alten Hirtenweg verl\u00e4uft und Elba von Westen nach Osten \u00fcber die wichtigsten H\u00f6hen und Berge der Insel durchquert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Entlang der Routen st\u00f6\u00dft man auf Kirchen, Einsiedeleien, Bunker, Festungen, Leuchtt\u00fcrme, Kapriolen und historische \u00dcberreste aus verschiedenen Epochen, denn Elba wurde von verschiedenen V\u00f6lkern beherrscht und bewohnt: Etrusker, R\u00f6mer, Pisaner, Ligurer und Spanier. Die Wege f\u00fchren oft in die mediterrane Macchia, die im Fr\u00fchjahr einzigartige Landschaften mit reicher Bl\u00fctenpracht bietet und den Geruchssinn mit den angenehmen D\u00fcften der wild wachsenden Kr\u00e4uter verw\u00f6hnt.
